Hello Lovelies and welcome to my Lovehoney Rose clitoral suction stimulator review!
This particular Rose came to me as part of the Lovehoney X Cosmopolitan “O Box”, but because it’s one of Lovehoney’s biggest sellers, I thought it deserved a review of its own. Let’s have a proper look at it and find out whether it really lives up to all the hype!
A Snapshot Review: Is It Worth It?
Stylish and ergonomic but not as good as some others. Noisy with less satisfying sucton. Great for nipple stimulation, not so good for clitoral orgasms. 4 stars.
Pros: Looks good and easy to hold. Easy to clean (waterproof). Great on nipples!
Cons: Noisier than some toys. Couldn’t tell a difference in the speeds. I struggled to orgasm with the Rose.
Best for: Nipple stimulation! If nipple play sends naughty messages down south, you need a Rose in your toybox!
But now, let’s meet the makers.
Who Are Lovehoney?
Lovehoney is one of the biggest names in UK sexual wellness, selling everything from sex toys and lingerie to lube, massage products and all manner of bedroom extras.
The company was founded in Bath in 2002 and grew from a small online shop into an international sexual wellness brand. As well as stocking familiar names, Lovehoney has its own ranges and has worked with brands and personalities including Womanizer, We-Vibe and Cosmopolitan.
One thing Lovehoney does particularly well is make pleasure feel accessible instead of daunting. Alongside the shop, its website has practical advice, buying guides and educational content to help people choose products that work for their bodies, relationships, experience and budget.
Whether this is your first tentative venture into sex toys or your bedside drawer is already threatening to collapse under the weight of them, there’s a frankly enormous amount to choose from!

Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Suction Stimulator: Product Description
Here comes the infamous Lovehoney Rose! Launched around Valentine’s Day 2022 as one of Lovehoney’s first toys of this kind, this little flower-shaped clitoral stimulator promises oral-sex-style clitoral stimulation. It has six speeds and four patterns, is covered in silky-smooth body-safe silicone, and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, so it’s happy to join you in the bath or shower too.
How Does It Look?
The Lovehoney Rose comes in a blush-pink box with a lilac zig-zag pattern along the bottom. The artwork is a little odd, though, because the product itself is represented by a black silhouette, with a tab showing the colour of the toy. In my case, that tab tells me it’s pink. Personally, I think a pink silhouette would make more sense. We don’t necessarily need a photograph — the shape and colour would do the job nicely.
Inside the box you’ll find a magnetic charging cable, the user manual and safety information. The fronts of the leaflets also remind us that the Rose has 10 functions, uses Pleasure Air technology and is waterproof.
The toy itself is more of a blush or bubblegum pink, matching the box rather than the brighter hot pink shown on the little colour tab. I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about that. Perhaps I secretly wanted a pinker pink? I know, I know — I complain when Lovehoney makes women’s products pink because it leans into gender stereotypes, and then I complain when one isn’t pink enough. I’m impossible!
There’s no gold or metallic base on this Rose either, which is a shame because I think metallic details can make toys like this look considerably more premium. The magnetic charging contacts are at least shiny, so I’ll take that little victory, but it’s hardly the main event.
One thing I really do like is that the top section comes away from the main body, giving you access underneath for cleaning. When it comes to post-orgasm housekeeping, that makes life considerably easier.
The LEDs stay illuminated while you’re using the speeds and flash along with the patterns. That’s a little feature I’ve enjoyed on several Lovehoney toys.

How Does It Handle?
The Rose is another Lovehoney toy that scores pretty well on ergonomics. Its base sits neatly in the palm of my hand, so it doesn’t feel bulky or awkward while I’m using it. The button is positioned sensibly too, sitting comfortably beneath the second joint of my thumb, which makes changing settings straightforward. Overall, it feels thoughtfully designed and nicely put together.
And yes, I’m going to mention the removable top again because it really does make cleaning ridiculously easy. The Rose comes apart without any fuss, so I can wash underneath it properly, and the IP67 rating means getting it wet isn’t a concern. If cleaning your toys after use is one of those jobs you’d happily outsource to absolutely anyone else, this one makes the process about as painless as it can be.
(And while we’re talking about cleaning, Lovehoney’s So Fresh! Foaming Body & Toy Cleaner is worth a mention. It’s quick and convenient, and keeping it in the bedroom alongside a couple of microfibre face cloths saves you from the classic post-sex walk to the bathroom carrying a suspiciously wet sex toy!)
How Does It Feel?
Considering just how much praise the Rose gets, I have to admit that I was a little underwhelmed by the overall experience. It absolutely can make me orgasm — that part isn’t in question — but I have other toys, including my beloved Lovehoney Pocket Pal, the ROMP X Amorana MVP football and the viral ROMP Lemon, that I personally prefer. They can get me there faster, feel stronger, run more quietly or simply feel more dependable. I also struggled to distinguish much difference between the Rose’s six speeds, which is a bit of a problem when six distinct speeds are one of the selling points.
There’s also something about the suction that doesn’t quite work for me. I wonder whether some air escapes around the removable top section, because compared with toys like the Pocket Pal or the Womanizer Next, the suction simply doesn’t feel as strong. It’s definitely there — I’m not saying it doesn’t work — but the sensation just isn’t quite hitting the mark for me.
Interestingly, taking the top section off and using the Rose more like a clitoral tapper was much more enjoyable, or use it for suction on your nipples — rather than on your clit — for crazy-intense pleasure. It’s definitely fun, it’s just not a favourite.
How Noisy Is It?
Unfortunately, the Rose isn’t one I’d describe as particularly quiet. I suspect the shape or mechanism of the suction tip is responsible for the audible tapping sound it makes, and I found that noise surprisingly distracting when I was trying to concentrate on the important business at hand. I suspect it would also be perfectly happy to announce your bath-time activities to anyone within earshot. It’s not quite at electric-toothbrush levels, but whisper-quiet it definitely isn’t.
Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Suction Stimulator: The Verdict
I’m honestly still curious about what has made the Lovehoney Rose such a huge best-seller, because for me, there are better clitoral stimulators available. It isn’t difficult to use, and it absolutely can get me to orgasm, but it’s louder than I’d prefer and I don’t find it as effective as some of the alternatives in my collection. For me, that puts it at ⅗.
